Allegorical Bodies – A Genealogy of Folds is a perspective on time, and its effects on the unfolding of human life. Using poetry or poetic expression as a central thread, it portrays the story of life from birth to death, and how our identities evolve within that time frame. One of the main themes is cycles and repetition, explored in the form of a series of concrete poetry interpretations. For this project, I designed, Sademena, a humanist-inspired display typeface with a contemporary finish. An amalgamation of the old and the new, it features rounded shapes, open forms and a high modulation.
